this just in, RHEL for open source infrastructure
Guys, Red Hat just announced a program where open source projects can get RHEL subscriptions for free - wouldn't that be a good idea for the build service? Announcement here: https://www.redhat.com/en/blog/extending-no-cost-red-hat-enterprise-linux-op... I want to give a hint. IBM and Red Hat are growing more and more together. I want to keep openSUSE for s390x. Therefore, I gave the hint, that Red Hat is open for all open-source projects. That was told me at FOSDEM by them. My main goal was to hear their expectations (together with IBM) in 3 weeks. I like such a result for all open-source projects. So I can expect a friendly relationship in the future. Best regards, sarah
Cheers Mathias

Looks like I miss your point here. Everyone can get "build service subscriptions" for free since the beginning, as OBS is an open source project. Simply visit https://openbuildservice.org/ and download OBS as you like. If you don't want to run your own, simply join https://build.opensuse.org/ and become part of the team... If you mean: "RHEL for free" - guess what happened with Leap 15.3, which is 100% compatible to SLE? - It's just worded differently, but you will get SLE (including updates) for free. You just need to pay if you want specific support. Regards, Lars
