Python packaging problem for Tumblweed in devel repos
Is it nknown that in the python-devel-repos for almost all packages the following appears:? unresolvable: have choice for python3-packaging needed by python-rpm-packaging: python310-packaging python311-packaging Is this intended? Regards Eric
*unresolvable:* have choice for python3-packaging needed by python-rpm-packaging: python310-packaging python311-packaging
Is this intended?
No, it is a fallout from changing the primary python to python311. It probably wasn't caught in any staging, because old packages don't linger around or get imported from repositories like they do in the devel projects. Fixed in https://build.opensuse.org/request/show/1093237

I spoke too soon. python310-packaging builds with the change but still provides python3-packaging. Because it still uses python311-base-3.11.3-2.1 and python310-base-3.10.11-1.3.x86_64 which do not have the switch yet. I guess we will have to wait for the next snapshot (d:l:p imports from openSUSE:Tumbleweed/standard not from openSUSE:Factory/standard). - Ben
