[opensuse-packaging] python singlespec for only existing in d:l:p3
Hi there, today I receive the first changes for an only existing in python3 (d:l:p3) package to be converted to singlespec. Now I wonder if we should start the conversion into d:l:p3 like in the sr. Once build in d:l:p3 we submit it to python-singlespec repo and then back to d:l:p ? Or what is the best workflow we can choose, to first not loose the work done in d:l:p3 and get them all to factory in the end. Thanks for your ideas. Once converted should go right to d:l:py, once accepted to d:l:py a deleterequest to d:l:py3 should be sent. Later, Robert -- Robert Schweikert MAY THE SOURCE BE WITH YOU Distinguished Architect LINUX Team Lead Public Cloud rjschwei@suse.com IRC: robjo

Once in d:l:p push to factory :-) -- Bruno Friedmann Ioda-Net Sàrl www.ioda-net.ch Bareos Partner, openSUSE Member, fsfe fellowship GPG KEY : D5C9B751C4653227 irc: tigerfoot -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+owner@opensuse.org

Should first submission not be to singlespec? So: First submission to d:l:p:singlespec, from there to d:l:p, then delete request to d:l:p3? Cheers Axel -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+owner@opensuse.org

Submission to d:l:p:singlespec is no longer necessary. We have enough of the basic packages converted in d:l:py and Factory is set up to deal with singlespec. Thus the intermediate step with submission to :singlespecis obsolete. Jan said no when I asked a similar question. If I understood it, d:l:p:singlestep is short for this world and is meant exclusively as Jan's staging area (or people helping with the mass conversion). If you want to do you're own singlespec work, just issue a deleterequest to d:l:p:singlestep and do it like you normally would.
