[opensuse-packaging] SLE_12_SP4 on build.opensuse.org
Hello! Have noticed SLE_12_SP4 repo is available on build.opensuse.org. 1) suse.com official site knows nothing about SLE12SP4, only SLE12SP3 and SLE15: SLE12SP3: [0] https://www.suse.com/releasenotes/x86_64/SUSE-SLES/12-SP3/ SLE15: [1] https://www.suse.com/releasenotes/x86_64/SUSE-SLES/15/ 2) openSUSE branch (%{SLE_VERSION}+30.%{SERVICE_PACK_VERSION} mechanism) also knows nothing about openSUSE Leap 42.4, only openSUSE 42.3 and openSUSE 15 respectively. Who knows details, please, if I missed something? Thanks!

1) suse.com official site knows nothing about SLE12SP4, only SLE12SP3 and SLE15:
SLE12SP3: [0] https://www.suse.com/releasenotes/x86_64/SUSE-SLES/12-SP3/ SLE15: [1] https://www.suse.com/releasenotes/x86_64/SUSE-SLES/15/
https://www.suse.com/lifecycle/ mentions SLE12SP4. For every major codestream you can assume that there will be multiple service packs. SLE12SP4 is the current version in development for the SLE12 codestream just as there will be a SLE15SP1 and more to follow after that.
2) openSUSE branch (%{SLE_VERSION}+30.%{SERVICE_PACK_VERSION} mechanism) also knows nothing about openSUSE Leap 42.4, only openSUSE 42.3 and openSUSE 15 respectively.
https://en.opensuse.org/Lifetime is the reference to use here but it does not explicitly mention 42.4 or something. As far as I know it was communicated also elsewhere that 42.3 is supported for quite long still but is succeeded by 15.0 or 15.1 which is also already in development which can be seen on OBS as well as e.g. on http://openqa.opensuse.org/ -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+owner@opensuse.org

https://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Roadmap does mention it explicitly: "There are currently no plans to release an openSUSE Leap 42.4 aligned with the next service pack of SLE 12." Ok, thanks for clarification on it!
