In the discussion about a non-rpm controlled /etc I missed the migration path for files changed by the admin. Is there a proposal about how a disappeared '%config /path' or '%config(noreplace) /path' is supposed to be handled? If not, here is my idea how it could be done.
The most simple thing would be to mark the files in /etc as %ghost in the new package. rpm won't touch the files at all then. By additionally still using %config those files would still be listable with -qc even if they don't exist. cu Ludwig -- (o_ Ludwig Nussel //\ V_/_ http://www.suse.com/ SUSE Software Solutions Germany GmbH, GF: Felix Imendörffer HRB 247165 (AG München) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+owner@opensuse.org
