Yes, I read and understood that part, thus I disabled build publishing after I was done with the spec file. The point is that there is a possibility for openSUSE to acquire permission to redistribute! Personally, I was just trying to see of FoxitReader runs well in 13.1 and provides the printing features I liked in Acrobat. As this is the case, I do not have a problem of removing the package from OBS and build it locally. But if there is public interest and in case someone gets permission to redistribute, I can provide the current package as a start. If not, I'll remove it soon. Best regards, J Brauchle

Hello,
following up on the discussion about the removal of acroread for openSUSE 13.1, I tried to package the FoxitReader PDF viewer here: https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/home:endzone/FoxitReader (publishing is diabled)
The reason for doing this is that Foxitreader provides some of the advanced GUI printing functionality that acroread also provided, but OSS PDF viewers are missing currently (due to KDE printing not moving forward).
I have some questions about the redistribution license from here: http://www.foxitsoftware.com/pdf/rd_rla.htm Will this allow me to build the package on OBS?
The Linux version of FoxitReader has not been updated since 2009, so I dont know if it is currently vulnerable to any security issues...

"Redistributor should not redistribute any version of Reader to general public, via any media, without prior written authorization from Foxit."
openSUSE == Redistributor, "any media" == OBS (remove it from your home project)
Not a solution to any problem.
