Beim herumexperimentieren mit Suspend-to-RAM hat wohl mein Filesystem
(ReiserFS) einen Schaden genommen. Da ich mit meiner Installation noch
ziehmlich am Anfang stand, habe ich mir gedacht, ich setzte einfach neu
auf - diesmal mit ext3.
Tja nur jetzt schaffe ich es einfach nicht mehr meine Intel-WLAN-Karte
einzurichten - also vorher gings. Ich verwende das interne PCMCIA. Dazu habe
ich in der rc.config START_PCMCIA="yes" und PCMCIA="yenta_socket" stehen. In
der pcmcia.rc.config steht bei mir PCMCIA_SYSTEM="kernel" und
PCMCIA_PCIC="yenta_socket".
Dann habe ich per Yast die Netzwerkkarte als eth0 mit 192.168.0.3 und
Gateway eingerichtet. PCMCIA eingeschaltet und die Karte altiviert. Unter
neue Hardware hinzufügen habe ich eth0 als PCMCIA angemeldet (das ist doch
unnötg, oder?).
Wenn ich die Karte starten will, steht folgendes in der /var/log/messages:

Verschlüsselung ist nicht aktiviert und ein iwconfig eth0 essid XXXX hilft
auch nix!
Dann habe ich mal folgendes probiert:
ifconfig eth0 192.168.0.3 braodcast 192.168.0.255 netmask 255.255.255.0 up
braodcast: Host name lookup failure
Und zu guter letzt kann ich Euch nur noch die Ausgabe von cardctl ident
geben, die mir sagt. daß die Karte richtig erkannt wird.

Was mich noch etwas verwirrt, jetzt steht in /var/log/messages
128-Bit-Verschlüssellung wird unterstützt - laut Handbuch ist das auch so,
allerdings stand da früher 40 Bit.
