Ken Mano has indeed upgraded the i810switch c-program and included during the last few days support for the intel 915GM chipset. Switching the crt on and off works perfectly, so parallel operatation of LCD and CRT in the right resolution is possible. It would be nice if the frequency of the crt-mode would be somewhat higher but, well, this is probably a TODO for the near(?) future. Thanks for all contributions to this puzzle and in particular to Ken. Walter On Wednesday 15 June 2005 17:05, Danny Kukawka wrote:

Hi Daniel,
thank you for your hint. You're right, I've got an intel 915GM chipset in the graphic card. Unfortunately, the 855GM and 915GM seem not to be close enough. The i855crt-switch didn't recognize my card. So, I still hope for ideas/possibilities/means from the Linux-universe to parallely run LCD and CRT.
i810switch [1] has partial i915 support.
