[opensuse-marketing] Stand at the CeBIT Open Source?
Hey guys, today I read that the "CeBIT Open Source" is looking for open source projects for the fair in 2012. The fair takes place in Hanover, Germany in the time from the 6th till the 10th of march. The projects can apply until December 18, 2011. Is openSUSE going to have a stand there? I dont think openSUSE is going to have a stand at the Cebit. The Cebit is very expensive. In 2010, I was in Hannover (as visitor) and the OpenSource Area must be paid if you want a booth there. Linux New Media sponsored in 2010 a bunch of Projects. There got a chair and a desk. Not more. So you can put a Laptop or TFT on the desk. Here an image from the OpenSource Area from Linux New Media. http://ununseptium.de/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/img_468911.jpg -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-marketing+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-marketing+owner@opensuse.org

With cost of living in Hannover during CeBIT time, I suggest not to do it - unless some local people like to volunteer, Andreas -- Andreas Jaeger aj@{suse.com,opensuse.org} Twitter/Identica: jaegerandi SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, Maxfeldstr. 5, 90409 Nürnberg, Germany GF: Jeff Hawn,Jennifer Guild,Felix Imendörffer,HRB16746 (AG Nürnberg) GPG fingerprint = 93A3 365E CE47 B889 DF7F FED1 389A 563C C272 A126 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-marketing+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-marketing+owner@opensuse.org

It seems as if at least the booth or table is for free for selected projects, see http://www.linux-magazin.de/NEWS/CeBIT-Open-Source-2012-Call-for-Projects (german, sorry). Still it only works for local people I think as hotel rooms are not available or not affordable. So, anybody willing to go? Another option is our partner Open Source Press (producer of the openSUSE 12.1 box). They're right now considering to have a booth and are open to have us on the booth.
