When I was writing the sneak peek articles the last few times I used a little script to generate shadowed thumbnails,[0] which just makes the images look that little bit nicer. So feel free to use it as well. How to get it running (as user, not root): cd ~/bin wget http://francis.giannaros.org/files/shadow.txt mv shadow.{txt,py} && chmod +x shadow.py Now in a new session you can just use it like this: shadow.py Original-Image.png Original-Image-Thumb.png --noframe --width 200 Then you can just upload both of the images and link to the original image in the <a> tag and put the img src as the thumbnail.
