Team,
I'd like all of you to give a friendly welcome to Matt. I let him introduce himself with the answers to the questions I gave him...
Welcome Matt ;-) You've been a busy beaver, I see, keep it up and please talk ask on the list when you need anything or have suggestions!

Hi Matt,
glad that you like to join openSUSE as an ambassador to promote openSUSE.
I have a couple of questions for you: * What have you done already for openSUSE?
I participate in support on the opensuse-users mailing list and in #suse on freenode. I've also recently joined the opensuse-marketing channel as well, however, still quite new at this time and playing 'catch up.'
I've also been working with the openSUSE Build Service a bit and getting familiar with that so that I may contribute help to fixing issues in the future on the OBS repositories, as well as working with #opensuse-wiki to help with the transition to the new wiki format.
* What are your plans for promoting openSUSE?
Since my job is demanding and its quite tough for me at times to get into the public eye, I do have a 'network' of friends and co-workers that I speak to on a regular basis. I promote openSUSE and Linux in general through this vast network of friends and co-workers on a daily basis.
* Are you ready to start promoting openSUSE?
Of course! already have been actually :)
* What do you think is the best kept secret of openSUSE?
The development process. It appears that most people 'outside of the box' don't realize how community driven openSUSE is nor do they realize how much openSUSE DEPENDS on the community for feedback, bug reports, help/support with the wiki etc. openSUSE's approach, at least to me, is very unique in that aspect.
* Why do you love to do this?
I love the fact that I can use a free operating system to do my day to day tasks at work and at home. This gives me the opportunity to give back to the community and the project itself.
* How did you start with with Linux/openSUSE? What is your level of experience?
I started with Slackware YEARS ago, I don't even recall what version, but I can tell you this much it was about 30+ 1.44MB disks to install it and took 3 days to download over dialup!
I still use Slackware on a few servers, mainly mail servers as I have a written document on installing it just the way I like it.
I started using openSUSE when they first released it to the public years ago, however, It fell by the way-side for a while during college and I recently got back to using it starting in version 11.
I use Linux on a daily basis... all versions... all distros, but my loyalty is to openSUSE and of course Slackware, but openSUSE is definitely my main operating system of choice these days. It just... works!
