That may be a valid concern. I work with lawyers all the time, so I'm used to the word "advocate" being used routinely. But I can't think of advocate being used by a high tech firms. You guys may not like it any better, but I have seen evangelist used a lot by high tech firms, so a openSUSE evangelist might be a reasonable alternative.
