Link on my blog here to coverage of openSUSE (does not include the coverage on our own sites).

Would appreciate suggestions for wider coverage and continued coverage. How can we push this out, for example, to local newspapers with tech coverage?
I think our Netware-loving, suit-and-tie-wearing friends in the local/national/regional Novell (sales? support?) offices could be leveraged to great benefit here. Example: If I send a press release about openSUSE 11.1 to Computerworld.dk, they will delete it instantly - discarding me as a random geek or zealot promoting a useless geeky product of interest to noone. But.. if Novell.dk - national subsidiary of a well known multinational software market player - were to send an official looking press release about openSUSE releases to selected IT-media - I think the media would be much more likely to pay attention - and write about it. Unfortunately, I have a feeling that noone at Novell.dk even knows openSUSE 11.1 has been released. At least they've never even bothered to put a news item on their website or anything. I guess Novell has a heck of a lot of regional offices splattered all over the globe, who could do a lot for openSUSE with very little effort - for example sending out an e-mail to a few news media every 6-9 months. PS: Don't let Novell marketing write such a thing, without running it by some openSUSE people first. We don't have the best experiences with Novell marketing trying to present openSUSE. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-marketing+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-marketing+help@opensuse.org
