I´ve got another, maybe great, idea. I can ask the admin of Pro-Linux.de, Mirko Lindner, to publish a article, that contains a "poll" to use and test openSUSE and compare with the distro the user uses normaly. I think this would be a great chance to see, what the users says about openSUSE and their distro. With the comment-function we can maybe clear some unclear things and maybe win some new users.
What do you think?
thanks and nice evening kdl

I'd be very careful on that. Polls are misguided in several ways. One, people overload polls in order to give their favorite distribution a different light. And two, I refer again to "creatures of habit." If people are used to doing things a certain way, even if you show them a better way, they may still opt for the old way that they've been doing all along. So, we could end up with skewered results that don't really tell the truth. Most polls are simply biased, no matter how much they try to make the poll fair. I would, however, love to see more usability studies in general. Novell did a great job of investing in that a few years ago, but since that time, we've pretty much done nothing and just base it on comments here and there. A formalized study should be done at some point. Bryen -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-marketing+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-marketing+help@opensuse.org
