OK, I did it (one has to chance the installation file because it looks for Version 5 of acroread). But it doesn't work. So I will use kpdf instead.
There's an another solution. If you have installed acroread-7.0.0*.rpm from SUSE site already, try those steps below. 1) Download 2 jpnfont packages from Adobe site. $ mkdir /tmp/{4,5} $ cd /tmp/5 $ wget \ ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/acrobatreader/unix/5.x/jpnfont.tar.gz $ cd /tmp/4 $ wget \ ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/acrobatreader/unix/4.x/jpnfont.tar.gz 2) Unpack jpnfont packages and install necessary files manually. $ cd /tmp/5 $ tar xzf jpnfont.tar.gz $ cd /usr/X11R6/lib/Acrobat7/Resource/CMap $ su # tar xf /tmp/5/JPNKIT/LANGCOM.TAR # cd /usr/X11R6/lib/Acrobat7.0/Resource/Font # tar xf /tmp/5/JPNKIT/LANGJPN.TAR --Now you can display Japanese font in PDF files by AdobeReader. But you cannot display gothic font yet. So, let's continue. $ cd /tmp/4 $ tar zxf jpnfont.tar.gz $ cd /usr/X11R6/lib/Acrobat7.0/Resource/Font $ su # tar xf /tmp/4/JPNKIT/LANGJPN.TAR That's all.
