Some problems with SCIM are left:
- **** BUG **** .xim (not the newest, of SuSE 9.1) starts scim -d. This does not work in KDE, it must be skim -d, otherwise konsole terminals tend to crash and the icon in the launchpad flickers (appears, disappears, appears, disappears, ...).
-> **** SEVERE BUG **** Oh no! Just now, I started "kdesu synaptic" and
I cannot reproduce these problems, neither on SuSE Linux 9.1 nor
on SLES9 (which is based on SuSE Linux 9.1). This means gtk2-2.2.4
and KDE 3.2.1.
Did you update gtk2 packages as James suspected in his reply?
