Hi! I started a fresh installation of Opensuse 12.1 with the LXDE-Desktop. The /home-directory was an existing one from previous installation. The problem is that lxdm hangs after login (LXDE-Desktop didn´t start). Workaround is to kill lxdm (as root), login as User and type startx, LXDE comes up. As a next step I changed to lightdm, this works. Any suggestions? Hi again! I solved the problem in this way: In lxdm I changed the language setting from "Standard" to "de_DE" for one time and logged in. Later I could switch back to "Standard" and lxdm works properly. Seems a little bit strange but worked.
