[opensuse-kernel] CONFIG_IPV6_SIT_6RD ?
I need in-kernel 6RD support to setup a tunnel to an upstream ISP (AT&T/Uverse). Checking current Kernel:Stable on OpenSUSE 13.2, grep -i 6RD /boot/config-4.1.4-1.ga37e14f-default # CONFIG_IPV6_SIT_6RD is not set In this thread CONFIG_IPV6_SIT_6RD http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-kernel/2011-01/msg00001.html the option had been enabled for 11.4 kernel. Is there a kernel branch with the option enabled? Or, was there a reason it was disabled? -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kernel+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kernel+owner@opensuse.org

"I don't have a problem enabling it for 11.4" does not mean it was actually enabled - and as I checked with last 11.4 kernel update, it was not. This config option has been disabled since it appeared so that the answer to the "why" question is most likely "because noone asked for it to be enabled" (until now, that is). However, as far as I can see from the description, this would still need some userspace tool to be actually useful. Do we have one? I think the userspace tool is the same as for the other tunnel flavors, the /bin/ip tool from the iproute2 package. Joerg -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kernel+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kernel+owner@opensuse.org

Yes, it does. I was confused by the Kconfig help text talking about an "additional ioctl API" but apparently there is also a netlink interface. Michal Kubeček -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kernel+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kernel+owner@opensuse.org

It's there now. There is an artificial delay before pushing new commits to the mirrors. Michal -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kernel+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kernel+owner@opensuse.org
