Which, for what it's worth, fails to stop my machine cleanly. The previous git snapshot I tested didn't have the problem. Which previous snapshot? Were you using SL11_2_6_24_DEVEL_BRANCH or a vanilla -git snapshot? I have my personal checkin history still in that branch for debugging if that's where you were getting the code. - -Jeff - -- Jeff Mahoney SUSE Labs -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2.0.4-svn0 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with SUSE - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFHNH7HLPWxlyuTD7IRAtklAJ4w3u7LCDm8IYdN+AuwOIGUKyNrsACeKFYr 7wDcGjyR8I3eIhm6a1ZFNHs= =ScNX -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kernel+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kernel+help@opensuse.org

Vanilla git snapshot (rc1-git15). I don't think I'll have the time to investigate this before Monday. If nobody has fixed it by then, I'll give it a stab. -- Jean Delvare Suse L3 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kernel+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kernel+help@opensuse.org

Huuu, false alert, sorry. I had accidentally disabled ACPI from my kernel. I'm fairly certain that my machine will stop just fine once ACPI is compiled back in. -- Jean Delvare Suse L3 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kernel+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kernel+help@opensuse.org

The HEAD kernel is now updated to 2.6.24-rc2.
i tried it with opensuse10.3 but after installing i did (as usual ;-) cd /usr/src/linux make cloneconfig but then it stopped making with the error about not finding the file arch/x86_64/Kconfig i heared about the news that in 2.6.24 the sources of x86 and x86_64 are joined, so i think it has something to do with that. but how do i do now a "make cloneconfig"? until now i needed this, coz i always do cd /usr/src/linux make cloneconfig make prepare make modules_prepare when i installed a new kernel. i need this to make several kernel-driver-modules (vmware-server, cisco-vpn-client, nvidia, fcusb2) -- einen schönen Tag noch, & bitte kein TOFU (http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/TOFU) DI Rainer Klier Abteilung IT - Entwicklung ECOLOG Logistiksysteme GmbH Bauernstraße 11, A-4600 Wels Tel. ++43/7242/66200 Fax ++43/7242/66200-200 mailto:kra@ecolog.at http://www.ecolog.at Fb-Nummer 171431f Landesgericht Wels A member of TGW LOGISTICS GROUP -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kernel+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kernel+help@opensuse.org
