[opensuse-kernel] Enabling DEBUG_PAGEALLOC in -debug kernels
Hi, for a few times already it would be useful for me if -debug kernels had DEBUG_PAGEALLOC enabled. It increases chances that we catch random memory corruption caused by some driver already at the source. Of course it slows down the -debug kernel even more but it might be worth it. And -debug kernels are anyway meant as "runnable but slow" kernels. No objections from me. Your point is exactly the one I'd make -- people should be using the debug flavor to ferret out issues they already know exist. It's not meant for everyday use. - -Jeff - -- Jeff Mahoney SUSE Labs -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2.0.16 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with SUSE - http://enigmail.mozdev.org/ iEUEARECAAYFAkzxn18ACgkQLPWxlyuTD7L/EACXRwhNUaS7C+mIMGsPnbdzNZcX qgCgjx1BYc0u5CrZu964rMMGGkR5SOI= =OE0m -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kernel+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kernel+help@opensuse.org
