Of course it slows down the -debug kernel even more but it might be
worth it. And -debug kernels are anyway meant as "runnable but slow"
No objections from me. Your point is exactly the one I'd make -- people
should be using the debug flavor to ferret out issues they already know
exist. It's not meant for everyday use.
