When I install a new kernel, either directly with zypper or via zypper up or zypper dup, sometimes associated messages from installaton and subsequent initrd generation take only about 18 screen lines. Other times, output is drastically swelled by what looks like a full path list of every kernel module, making total message output more than a full screen's worth. Am I the only one to notice or wonder why? IIRC, this has been happening for several releases, but certainly affects 12.2. -- "The wise are known for their understanding, and pleasant words are persuasive."
