Hi, I have x220 laptop. I've found that micmute led doesn't work.
I've found a patch, tested it and it works.
Please apply attached patch.
Can you open a bugzilla entry for this and attach the patch?
Is this report related? If you've found that the LED doesn't work, it follows that you've gotten the micmute key to actually work -- just that it's not intercepted in software. Is that the case?
Yes, I've found a workaround. But still LED doesnt' work. Just keys started to give acpi event.
The actual LED toggling should be handled in user-space such as PulseAudio. The problem is known and PA developers think of implementation, but not done yet.
Well this patch just adds ability to control leds nothing else. So I can script on and off state with acpi script.
That is, I guess this won't be fixed easily on 12.1. Let's hope it'll be in 12.2.
BTW, was the patch already merged in the upstream tree? In general, we take only the patches that have been accepted in the upstream. If not, please try to push to the upstream first.
It is on several mailing lists. But I'm afraid the issue being lost or forgotten.
Yeah, I remember that the topic popped up in the last year. We wanted to standardize the name, and I prpoposed somewhat like mic-mute, to be parsed more easily, but the thread ended there. http://comments.gmane.org/gmane.linux.drivers.platform.x86.devel/1962
