[opensuse-kernel] Creating a custom KMP for a standard module

In my case, I want to have a ext4 replacement kmp in my obs home directory.

From the the thread on packaging, it appears I need to branch a full kernel package, patch the ext4 code and then compile just the one module.

Is that right?
