Hi Grant -
They're responding to you in that way because we carry additional patches on top of the mainline kernel. Try installing kernel-vanilla instead. If you still run into the problem, then you can tell the folks on IRC that you were able to produce it with a generic upstream kernel. If you can't reproduce it, then you've just done a good amount of helpful triage and we can start investigating which one of those patches we carry is at fault.
That's a different statement than the "You are not using the openSUSE kernel" at the bug from Opensuse devel.
Well you're sort of in a no-mans-land with the kernel you're using. It's autogenerated, but not ever actually part of an official (or even unofficial) release so you'll get varying degrees of interest with it.
Ok, I'll install the vanilla kernel from the Opensuse repos and see what happens.
Great, thanks. - -Jeff - -- Jeff Mahoney SUSE Labs -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG/MacGPG2 v2.0.22 (Darwin) iQIcBAEBAgAGBQJThR1xAAoJEB57S2MheeWyxngP/0yRYQc+QWRjXQT7SKMvwTSu jUmEe0+mtMrz/7okDKNtt62vNeWuVGycOE3xJwgtvGW074q8Wmq7HEGeqiqK1uXZ 87t8US3Cm6X4Jd3B7qadMXbqgDBqVjHUNyySdcHof2ywcE5958WUFqE4jvQE9MWz L7Vs1LyPoMRv/FGocqwg1BXOr6JfXzcS8KWurhq7GnqOzns4TfEbyeleyl1DV/dn 1iEGRS664JPUzpBnguQURymstque8LnmSRMyWFfWyQDrTs6dKIkrNwrDW/NfKXDa Qn+j8OdJIUDRne/N0KGOrvTUZpffvvfS9vEi7zs9tJB2z5obgga58ln8OtBeSOMu HOi7DkhDHEw8uOqcT97Q8AG+MegfNVWFFqMH8oiLDeYoDQa5g8ku6R+IPpf/F/rK GHbYSbQabmQ9Lbdp8MrM8l4EgfwLa5QQGpHhKInV8jUsvqxAGKGXbVdT9loNrIoZ oZ7N2sxj4D+TCW1Za+qCbJiJPJoDP/tEwr0xpSPip+YzhCE1TrsI3dMeFotf1PwO 8YM0IU3GP0qqaBsP8TaVTfakPI8/BoJT7m4A9ojhJ5pP1Yf/Y23BRheGYteqT4wf tYFj2ekT/FkRvvs/Xqv+hXoHswI2aLkBo9DcMoPOGd6r/CTVnjndYSbfuKSmsw62 tmPN1gCEZW5dpaNr9DO2 =VjfO -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kernel+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kernel+owner@opensuse.org
