According to http://lwn.net/Articles/540290/ 3.7.10 is going to be the last update for 3.7 series. Any chance for 12.3 to get 3.8?
As far as I know, that would be against openSUSE policy. Although 3.7.10 will be that last in that line, I think the openSUSE kernel devs always propagate the important patches from stable into the openSUSE kernel, thus you won't see any difference. If you are worried, there are repos that build the newer kernels and make them available, or you can generate your own. It will be only about a week until 3.9-rc1 is out. For me, 3.9-rc0 (aka 3.8-git) works fine. I only found one useless log message and a patch has been submitted to fix that.
