/boot/grub/menu.lst exist and I would expect another error message , if
grub wasn't able to load that file into memory.
Any useful output with 'debug_initcall' kernel command-line parameter?
Not really ,the last lines before are :
Freeing unused kernel memory 1460k freed
Write protecting the kernel readonly data 4936k
Failed to execute /init
The messages until the failure are identical to the working
2.6.27-rc9-HEAD_20081009181916 kernel, which goes on with fastboot and then
starts console logging.
