[kernel-bugs] [Bug 1177735] New: Sending the "sleep" event causes brutal power off
http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1177735 Bug ID: 1177735 Summary: Sending the "sleep" event causes brutal power off Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Tumbleweed Version: Current Hardware: x86-64 OS: openSUSE Tumbleweed Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Kernel Assignee: kernel-bugs@opensuse.org Reporter: paulatz@gmail.com QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- Created attachment 842657 --> http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/attachment.cgi?id=842657&action=edit output of hwinfo, lspci, procinfo Since last dist-upgrade triggering a powersave "sleep" event (either by shutting the lid or touching the powe button) causes my laptop to immediately power off, i.e. it just cuts the power, without any fail-safe procedure. I'm attaching the output of journalctl: first I rune "dmesg --clear" than after a few seconds I put the laptop to sleep (pressing the power button). After turining the laptop back on I run "journalctl > log" as root. The log seems to contain nothing before boot. I can reproduce it as many times as you wish and send any files you need. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
