http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1192375 Bug ID: 1192375 Summary: Bose Revolve+ SoundLink USB speaker bad dB Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Distribution Version: Leap 42.3 Hardware: x86-64 OS: openSUSE Leap 42.3 Status: NEW Severity: Minor Priority: P5 - None Component: Kernel Assignee: kernel-bugs@opensuse.org Reporter: cliff.dugal@pico.ca QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- When I connect my Bose Revolve+ SoundLink to my computer via USB, it can play music, but the volume mapping is way off. AlsaMixer shows a dB gain of 0.00 to 0.38 in 39 steps. 0.00 dB is no volume, and 0.38 dB is ridiculously loud. The PulseAudio mixer is essentially useless in this situation. 98% volume maps to the speaker being off, 99% volume maps to 0.11 dB in AlsaMixer (actually listenable), and 100% volume maps to insanely loud. Clearly the volume level to dB mapping is wrong. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
