When I connect my Bose Revolve+ SoundLink to my computer via USB, it can play music, but the volume mapping is way off. AlsaMixer shows a dB gain of 0.00 to 0.38 in 39 steps. 0.00 dB is no volume, and 0.38 dB is ridiculously loud. The PulseAudio mixer is essentially useless in this situation. 98% volume maps to the speaker being off, 99% volume maps to 0.11 dB in AlsaMixer (actually listenable), and 100% volume maps to insanely loud. Clearly the volume level to dB mapping is wrong.
