This is only true on laptops with high resolution screens. If you boot to runlevel 3 for example its near impossible to do anything meaningful because you just can not read the screen. There needs to be a setting to use a larger font on screens such as this (if they can make the bios easily readable I'm sure it can be done in the kernel - no?): Manufacturer: ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC.
