[opensuse-kde] home:saigkill KDE >= 4.2 (skrooge)
Hello Mates, ATM i'm trying to build skrooge 5.x.x. This version uses KDE Libraries from >= 4.2. So i've tried to link kdelibs4 from openSUSE:Factory to my $HOME Repo. But this not works for 11.1 just for Factory. The Errormessage from 11.1 is a LOT of Files, who are unpackaged. But it runs for Factory, so i think that the files are working. Has anyone an idea, how to fix this? -- Sincerely yours Sascha Manns openSUSE Member openSUSE Ambassador openSUSE Marketing Team openSUSE Build Service Web: http://saschamanns.gulli.to Blog: http://saigkill.wordpress.com ClaimID: http://claimid.com/saigkill -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

opened https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=545103 you haven't fixed: Problem: nothing provides Requires: needed by skrooge-0.5.1-14.1.i586 Solution 1: keep skrooge-0.5.1-3.1.x86_64 Solution 2: break skrooge by ignoring some of its dependencies -- Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA HOG # US1244711 http://wahoo.no-ip.org Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://counter.li.org -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

the last time i built skrooge on factory i got it compiled, but the program didn't run; was complaining about a missing library that was there during compilation. now kde-skrooge changed to just 'skrooge' in the factory repos, but i can't get it installed via zypper or yast; complains about a library missing that should be there, but isn't. (sorry, don't remember the names.) my conclusion for the time being is to give them a little more time to get this together. something seems messed up, but things are changing n the package... -- phani. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

ah, it's not "they" but you building skrooge; didn't realize that. i have no idea how to fulfill that requirement for 11.1, but it doesn't work for 11.2 yet either. as patrick wrote, it still requires "Requires"... -- phani. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

It runs, but zypper coughs on an "empty" or inaccurate requirement. -- Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA HOG # US1244711 http://wahoo.no-ip.org Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://counter.li.org -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

If the application requires at least KDE4.2, then it simply can't work on clean 11.1, because there is no KDE4.2. The user will first have to upgrade their KDE from one of the repos, and in that case you can use those repos as build repositories for your repository. See how e.g. KDE:KDE4:Community builds for older openSUSE releases. -- Lubos Lunak KDE developer -------------------------------------------------------------- SUSE LINUX, s.r.o. e-mail: l.lunak@suse.cz , l.lunak@kde.org Lihovarska 1060/12 tel: +420 284 084 672 190 00 Prague 9 fax: +420 284 028 951 Czech Republic http://www.suse.cz -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org
