[opensuse-kde] Random encoding errors
Hi all, I recently installed opensuse 13.2 on my laptop but I get random encoding errors with non-kde applications (xchat, firefox, thunderbird, pdigin). This lead from some letters are wrong enconded (e.g. 'g' shows up as a '3') up to the case that half of the letters are shown as blanks. This behavior appears as well in the menus. KDE Platform Version: 4.14.9 In "system settings -> locale" I have: Country= System Country (United Kingdom) Preferred Language= British English Available Languages= American English, Catalan For the record /etc/sysconfig/language: RC_LANG="en_GB.UTF-8" ROOT_USES_LANG="ctype" AUTO_DETECT_UTF8="no" INSTALLED_LANGUAGES="ca_ES,en_GB,en_US" I have the feeling that the encoding errors are more when I restart the computer with the applications left open. Any idea what this could be and how to debug/fix this? Thanks, Matthias -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde+owner@opensuse.org
