How do you get KPPP to work properly on the KDE on suse 9.1
I like KPPP it seems like a very nice program for an Internet dialup.
However I am a bit frustrated with SuSE 9.1
I had previously installed 8.2 and had KPPP installed as my Internet dialer
which never worked well but it did work
however KPPP does not work on SuSE 9.1
I dial out to my service provider , the modems connect and then the connec
tion is severed and I get this error:
Jun 13 22:53:08 linux pppd[9105]: Can't open options file
/etc/ppp/peers/kppp: No such file or directory
I formated my hard disk and reinstalled SuSE 9.1 freshly and added KPPP
again when I tried to dial out to my service provider , the modems connect
and then the connection is severed again and I get the same error
What do we do now?
Have you ever got SuSE 9.1 to establish a connection to the Internet? How ?
With kind regards
Nick

Hi, The kdenetwork rpms miss this file. They don't have this any more. You can use kinternet or put the attach file to /etc/ppp/peers. On Monday 14 June 2004 14:08, Michael, Nick N wrote:
