it was suggested that you were better off, waiting for SuSE(TM) packages, that was what I was looking for ;-)
I see now in Adrians letter that there will be no such thing. I will go to kde.org then.
but on SuSE ftp server there are 3.1 rpm's, are they any differnt from the ones on kde.org? could someone clarify this? fred

That are the same in general.
