[opensuse-kde] Refresh issue with Dolphin 4.8?
Hello List Mates, Is anyone else experiencing a delay in refresh of folders in 4.8 when opening Dolphin the first time after boot up? Dolphin 4.7 never had this problem. Cheers! Do any of you version whores ever read the release notes before upgrading? The dolphinpart thingy was completely rewritten for 4.8, some issues are expected. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde+owner@opensuse.org

The term is not only offensive, it is also inaccurate. It was apparently coined after "attention whore", but the parallel here is far from obvious. I also think that this place is right for discussing the experiences using the next KDE. I agree. I hate the way it was worded. Roman ------------------------------------------------------------------ openSUSE Linux -- Discover it! Enjoy it! For me it did. And not only dolphin. Even the file picker, i.e. where you pick a file to open or save does not show files added recently – although it was opened after they were created. Are you staying with 4.8 until this is resolved or rolling back to 4.7? Roman ------------------------------------------------------------------ openSUSE Linux -- Discover it! Enjoy it! Staying with 4.8 of course. You can just press F5 to reload. And as I wrote, in 4.7 it was the same for me, so rolling back would not solve the issue. Sven -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde+owner@opensuse.org

Yep, that's pretty much the experience I had with 4.7, dolphin, file pickers etc always had to be manually refreshed or re-opened. I do not see this with 4.8, for me in 4.8 dolphin refreshes very snappily. I've not noticed if the file pickers refresh or need to bre re-opened. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde+owner@opensuse.org
