[opensuse-kde] Where is Kwrite's magnifier?
Hello SuSE-KDE people. In KDE3.5 kwrite had a nice little magnifier in the tool bar that would change the font size. In 4.1 it is gone. Are the dev's purposely not thinking of sight impaired people? Hope it won't be necessary to make a request to bring back a functionality that was already there. In KDE 4.2 kwrite has the ability to enlarge and shrink the font size. A keyboard shortcut can also be assigned. It was just removed from the default toolbar. It is still in the View menu. You can restore the Enlarge Font/Shrink Font actions to the toolbar with Configure Toolbars from the Settings menu. HTH Will

Hmmmmm.....Thanks for replying Will. I tried that before I posted. I saw it in the View menu, but Settings > Configure Toolbars does not show that as an option. Bob S -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

If you switch the combobox over to the kate part's toolbar, it will. I know, it's not exactly user- or partially-sighted-friendly. It would be very neat if someone took the time to make these initial settings on a clean .kde4, then do a diff -ur to the original, then we could either supply a kdebase4-openSUSE-partiallysighted.rpm that installs the changed *uirc files systemwide , or some kind of kpersonalizer that runs once per-user could copy them to their .kde4.
