[opensuse-kde] KDE factory for 11.1, repo broken?
Hi, one more try. Seems the KDE factory repository for 11.1 (that is http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/KDE:/Distro:/Factory/openSUSE_11.1...) is broken for a few days or so. Namely libstrigi-0.7.3-41.3-x86_64 does not provide libstreamanalyzer.so.0()(64bit), which affects dozens of other packages. Seems just to be a matter of the provides-part of the RPM (contains libstreamanalyzer.so.0.7(), but no libstreamanalyzer.so.0() anymore), but i do not want to fiddle about. Another broken thing is phonon-4.4.3-52.1-x86_64: "nothing provides phonon-backend >=4.4.3 needed by phonon-4-4-3-52.1.x86_64". Appropriate backend packages are missing. Did i miss something? Anybody? Wrong list? Thanx in advance. C. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

Christoph, don't count on too much effort for 11.1 KDF actually. There's a lot of thing to be done in Factory for factory, helping the M4 coming out, and the integration of kde4.6 that it could be another couple of days before things get fixed. -- Bruno Friedmann (irc:tigerfoot) Ioda-Net Sàrl www.ioda-net.ch openSUSE Member User www.ioda.net/r/osu Blog www.ioda.net/r/blog fsfe fellowship www.fsfe.org GPG KEY : D5C9B751C4653227 vcard : http://it.ioda-net.ch/ioda-net.vcf -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org
Thank you Bruno! I'm in no hurry at all, was just concerned about whether 11.1 Factory support will be dropped at all. C. On Thursday 02 December 2010 19:39:00 Bruno Friedmann wrote:

11.1 will die in about a month or so, so I wouldn't get my hopes too high if I were you. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

Since SLE*11 does have pretty similar requirements, our bets are still set ;-). I actively try to keep it going, btw. The apparent missing libstrigi dependency was a red herring, though. There where a few issues with the kdebase4-workspace build, that I fixed and SRed (related to the missing randr 1.3 and the disruptive polkit-kde dependency, while polkit-qt is sufficient). The current build errors of this package affects all targets due to a malformed 4_6_BRANCH.diff, which is hopefully fixed by the orginator soon. The next issue, I'm tackling right now (since build service does build packages for me again :) ) is the phonon-backend-xine package: https://build.opensuse.org/project/show?project=home%3Afrispete%3Abranches%3... Unfortunately, that needs to pull in a few new packages into the project just for SLE_11 and openSUSE_11.1: gstreamer-0_10 gstreamer-0_10-doc gstreamer-0_10-plugins-base python-gstreamer-0_10 where gstreamer-0_10-plugins-base needed a small dependency fix. I'm not sure on how to preceed now. I've pulled these packages from openSUSE:11.2:Update:Test, as these are the lowest versions, that allow phonon-backend-xine to build, while they're not getting into the way, if people fetch these from Packman. I kindly ask the kde maintainers to give maintainer status to me (frispete), then I'm going to _carefully_ add these just for the mentioned targets, or does somebody what to do it himself?
