[opensuse-kde] kdevelop-4.6 does not work (long)
HI guys, kdevelop-4.6 doesn not work on os 12.2 with kde-10.5. Console ouput: kdevelokdevelop(4152) KDevNinjaBuilderPlugin::KDevNinjaBuilderPlugin: Ninja plugin installed but ninja is not installed. kdevelop(4152)/kdevplatform (shell) KDevelop::PluginController::loadPluginInternal: "Plugin 'Compilatore progetto Ninja' could not be loaded correctly and was disabled. Reason: ." kdevelop(4152) KDevNinjaBuilderPlugin::KDevNinjaBuilderPlugin: Ninja plugin installed but ninja is not installed. kdevelop(4152)/kdevplatform (shell) KDevelop::PluginController::loadPluginInternal: "Plugin 'Compilatore progetto Ninja' could not be loaded correctly and was disabled. Reason: ." kdevelop(4152): couldn't create slave: "Unable to create io-slave: klauncher said: Protocollo �� sconosciuto. A popup appear with the io-slave error. Why for the hell samba is involved in starting kdevelop ?? I wiped out all related files in my home but nothing, always the same... THAT is where the people that "care" will see it. Yeah but asking if is a known issue _before_ filling bug is a good thing :) It seems tha kdevelop is not very used by users in this ML.. On the contrary, I use it daily for work and non work. I was just on holiday, and replying from a phone isn't feasible: such are the issues of sweeping generalizations. ;) On the issue at hand, it looks like you have incompatible versions of kdevelop4 and kdevplatform installed. Well, I tested another system, this with os 12.3 and kde-4.12. Same error :( Packages installed (on 12.2): kdevelop4-plugins-php-doc-1.6.0-11.1.i586 kdevelop4-4.6.0-10.1.i586 kdevelop4-plugins-php-1.6.0-11.1.i586 kdevelop4-devel-4.6.0-10.1.i586 kdevelop4-lang-4.6.0-10.1.noarch kdevplatform-lang-1.6.0-12.1.noarch libkdevplatform7-1.6.0-12.1.i586 kdevplatform-1.6.0-12.1.i586 Packages from extra repo.
