[opensuse-kde] How do I set folder filters in KDEPIM 4.8?
Hi. I've been trying to setup KDEPIM 4.8 as an IMAP mail program. I can connect to my ISP's imap server and it downloads the mail but puts in all in the inbox. How do I configure filters for the different folders the mail should go into? The filters are not under Settings -> Configure filters... ? Haven't tried 4.8 yet, but that's where they are in 4.7 and previous versions. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde+owner@opensuse.org

It's even easier and did not change since kdepim3. Right-click on a message in the message list and pick create filter. Sven -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde+owner@opensuse.org

It's not a POP3 feed I'm trying to set up but IMAP. I can create filters allright, but they don't DO anything. I need them to propagate to the server, but don't know how to make them do that. -- Bob Smits <bob@rsmits.ca> Poverty is the worst form of violence Mohandas Gandhi -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde+owner@opensuse.org

That's not how it works, neither in kdepim3 nor kdepim4. If you want filters on the server, set them up on the server. There are only a few things that can be done via sieve and kmail. Emails are downloaded and put back on the server. Martin stated where you can find the filter rules settings and configure which account they apply to. Or use settings / manage sieve scripts, but this has to be supported by the email server. -- Richard -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde+owner@opensuse.org
