Hi list, Ok, it seems that I am one of the first to have installed kde 3.2.1 on my Suse 8.1 box. First of all, the Suse team did a great job. Installation went much smoother compared to 3.2.0. However !!!! I am not able to log in as user !!! What the hell happened now ?? Here is the kdm.log ---> XFree86 Version 4.2.0 / X Window System (protocol Version 11, revision 0, vendor release 6600) Release Date: 23 January 2002 If the server is older than 6-12 months, or if your card is newer than the above date, look for a newer version before reporting problems. So I created a new user, where I was able to log in. KDE started up, showing error messages concerning dcop, could not write kdeglobals, etc. and then I was on the login screen again. But, I am a happy man, I still can login as root and this without any error message ! Help will be highly appreciated... Regards, Udo

Dear All, I discovered that there are a couple of feature request for next KDE-PIM release that I personally find very usefull: - the capability fo scheduling mail for later delivery (to be accessible via Kmail or via Korganizer). - the creation of a filtered mail report (to show where downloaded mails have been moved) What do you think? I'm curious to hear your opinion on them... If they are usefull also from your prospective, why not voting them at: http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=50255 and http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=38538 Regards, Timur __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? I noticed it was there about 6 hours ago and installed it. No bugs so far, and the existing annoyances I had in 3.2 have been cleared up. Oh, kdenetwork3-chat is now called kdenetwork3-InstantMessenger (I think) so you have to de-install the -chat first. -- opinions personal, facts suspect. http://home.arcor.de/36bit/samba.html
