[opensuse-kde] Testing with Unstable
I have some bugs I'd like test for on upstream, both QT5.5 and Plasmashell and I was going to add the 4 repos listed in the wiki for unstable KF5, remove my existing Factory repos (Apps/Extra/KF5), and then "dup". Is this the best way to proceed? I'm on TW x86_64 KF5_Factory right now. @wolfi323, is it true that your "apps" builds pull from unstable? -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde+owner@opensuse.org

If you only want to test Plasmashell and Qt, there's not really a need to use the unstable Applications and Extra repos as well, I suppose. But yes, you probably should use "zypper dup" (or YaST's "switch system packages...") to make sure you get no incompatible mix of packages.

Depends on which "apps" you mean exactly. Those that are already released are pulled from KDE:Frameworks5, KDE:Applications, or KDE:Extra (as applicable). Only those without any release yet are pulled from KDE:Unstable:* or git directly. You can see this in the version number btw. If a package has something like "15.08.0", it is a stable release. Unstable ones would have "15.08.60git" or similar.
