Hi, I really wonder, what https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=291138 is all about, apart from being a major PITA, when it comes to using some current KDE4 SC with NFS mounted homes. Interestingly, the search activity does show the icons as expected, but with any desktop icon display methods, they just appear as gears. Given, that all files are simply accessible via NFS (3 if that matters) just like any local files, I can only imagine, that something actively prevents the "correct" operation. Any idea anybody?
