[opensuse-kde] Problem with amarok 2.4.0 and phonon-gstreamer 4.4.4
Hi. I am using OpenSuSE 11.3 with KDE 4.6 from Release. I probed to use phonon- gstreamer 4.4.4 because the posts in the list about maintaners leaving phonon- xine. However, I have a problem with amarok 2.4.0 and phonon-gstreamer 4.4.4. I have my music in M4A (LE AAC, CBR 256) if I select gstreamer in files don't show the music in this format. How can I resolve this problem? Thanks in advance. Alfonso -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

Maybe check what gstreamer plugins you have installed. ... Or try phonon-backend-vlc from Packman instead, just because upstream phonon developers suddenly stop developing phonon-backend-xine, gstreamer doesn't magically stop being a PITA. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org
I have installed gstreamer ugly, bad and ffmpeg. I think it must be enough. In my opinion, phonon xine is the most stable and complete of three options in this moment. Best regards. Alfonso O Venres, 4 de Marzo de 2011 15:53:51 Martin Schlander escribiu:

That's my opinion too. But I guess phonon-backend-vlc has the most promising future. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org
