Hi, In the past I have not tried to upgrade KDE between upgrades of my base SuSE, but now that KDE4 is changing so fast, I think I need to upgrade it without waiting. But I don't find anything in Yast2 that allows me to do that. Seems like there used to be something like that, but I don't see anything now. How do I go about upgrading to 4.6? TIA, Leslie
Add the repositories listed here and update KDE4 to the versions in the KDE4.6 stable repository. http://en.opensuse.org/KDE_repositories#Stable_aka._KDS_.28KDE_SC_4.6.29
I beg to differ, and would recommend KDE:Release:46 to the user interested in the latest KDE releases. KDE:Distro:Stable, as recommended by C above, is fixed at 4.6.0 and is mainly of interest to members of the team as we use it to prepare online updates for vanilla openSUSE 11.4. KDE:Release:46 has 4.6.1 now and 4.6.2 soon. These will contain many small fixes which are not significant enough to online-update but contribute to a better feel overall

I missed the bit in the description of KDE:Distro:Stable that suggested to use KDE:Release:46. On that note.... isn't that somewhat of a misleading description? If it's a staging area for online updates.... shouldn't it be labeled as such? If someone is using the default KDE4 with 11.4, which are they getting? I would assume only KDE:Distro:Stable.
