This seems to point to glibc - or the toolchain - and thus I need a way to reproduce this - and can't on any of my systems ;-(
Andreas
Ok, we can co-operate :)
I have reinstalled my whole system to openSuSE 12.1 x86_64 with
formatting root partition. The error remained.
Maybe, problem relays my hardware - ASUS UL80 with hybrid graphics.
Let's discuss further in bugzilla, I'm building two different glibcs now and will collect information etc in this bug: https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=753251
I'm building two glibcs now, please test and report in bugzilla at https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=753251
Test glibc-2.15-190.1 (or newer) from: http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/a_jaeger:/my-factory- packages/openSUSE_Factory/
Test glibc-2.15-192.1 (or newer) from: http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/a_jaeger:/ld_bind_now/openSU SE_Factory/
Please tell me for which repository which version you tested and whether it fixed the problem you have.
Thanks, Andreas
I am very sorry for my mistake. My complete reinstallation of SuSE with formatting root partition, I have mentioned here, fixed the problem. Now I've installed the latest 4.8 KDE from the same repositories and KDE works fine.
