Is the playground repository ultimately going to have all of the packages from the playground KDE svn directories? On Tue, Apr 21, 2009 at 3:52 AM, Dirk Müller <dmueller@suse.de> wrote:
Hi,
as decided in the last openSUSE KDE IRC meeting (http://en.opensuse.org/KDE/Meetings), I've started to move the unstable, not yet released applications from KDE:KDE4:UNSTABLE:Extra-Apps into KDE:KDE4:Playground.
Whats the difference?
- For those who just use the applications: There should be none except for the different repository name. Please update your sources list.
- For those who want to contribute back: KDE:KDE4:Playground has the same user and access list like KDE:KDE4:Community, so it should be wide open for anyone interested to help out
- It is configured like KDE:KDE4:Community, so only one source copy and build against various repositories
- released versions are likely to end up in KDE:KDE4:Community, unstable/unreleased snapshots in KDE:KDE4:Playground. This should make your decision which repository to pick much easier.
Whats the future?
KDE:KDE4:Factory:Extra-Apps is going to be merged into KDE:KDE4:Playground as well.
