This is now the end of November and the problem with the sound is still there. The version of kaffeine I am running (in 11.2) is still showing as version 0.91+1.0pre2-5.1.
factory has kaffeine-0.9+1.0pre2-9.3.x86_64 available KDE:KDE4:Factory:Desktop
Thanks, Patrick, but I am running a 32-bit system.....
I also have the KDE:/43/ repo selected for zypper to use so would expect the latest to be made available there - or am I wrong?
When Kaffeine do another (beta) release it should appear in the KDE:Bacports repo.
Don't think anybody has time or will to cherrypick patches or update from vcs at random times.
Who's talking about "vcs"? Christoph mentioned svn. And I am not asking about *backporting* to some earlier version of openSUSE but I am talking about the very latest, just released, openSUSE 11.2.
