Following along on this and since I don't yet have a dual layer DVD burner, what procedure do you guys follow to burn? Do you do a direct disc to disc copy or iso image then burn? I would think the ISO image then burn from the hard drive would be the most efficient. Some folks locally have had some trouble, so while these dual layer DVD discs are still quite expensive, not making coasters of them does interest me! ;o)
The problem with them is STILL not all discs are made correctly......Fuji seem to be some of the best at this point that work well in most drives. AVOID the cheap brands and in particular no-name brands!! Also, AVOID cheap drives! Plextor would be my choice. I was able to create an ISO image of my 9.3 DVD and burn a copy with no problem with a Fuji DVD +R DL disk.

Ok, thanks Fred, I'll keep this in mind when finally getting around to getting all my equipment. An answer to your 10 updating question on the SuSE list. Several on the OpenSuSe list have indeed done updates from 9.3 to 10.0 and have had success in doing so. No real deal breaking reports, do I remember seeing about that! If you have done a great deal of updating, adding programs, etc. then a clean install might be best, but if you are running pretty much a stock 9.3 with security updates, I do believe you will be pleased with the results. regards, Lee
