This is a bug in nvidia driver. The proprietary nvidia driver is never useable after opensue 11.4 install. That's odd. I have been using it since 11.4 install the first of May.

[06-29-11 14:59]: presently using NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-275.09.07.run The first time I had install 11.4 it's all right. But after one Update its never going. Also with 275 it's only going with my fix. Perhaps it is that i have 64bit? But you can manuell fix it. Use Key Shift+ALt+F12 to disable Effects when progress bar stands by 80%. Then go to Systemsettings/Effects and tab advanced. Her you must disable direct rendering and set composite-type to OpenGl. Then klick button execute. Now you can enable the effects. Never heard of this! I help one other user. And a bug ist open in opensuse. But they say its an nvidiabug. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org
